Tapahtuma, jota olette odottaneet viime kesäkuusta asti lähestyy! PartyTown Roller Derby emännöi jälleen perinteeksi muodostuneen Porvoo Derby Festivaalin.

Viisi vuotta sitten Porvoo Roller Derby kohtasi Tampereen Howlin’ Rollsit eräänä kesäkuun lauantaina, kuka muistaa miten peli päättyi mutta jatkot olivat ikimuistoiset. Ja niin syntyi Porvoo Derby Festival. Nyt juhlavuoden kunniaksi Howlin’ Rollsit tulevat uudelleen vierailulle ja saavat vastaansa Porvoo Fan Klubbenin.

Ohjelmassa myös tuttuun tapaan sekascrimmage, teemana tänä vuonna sarjakuvat! Joukkueina hyvikset vastaan pahikset joten nyt on loistava aika joutua radioaktiivisen merilokin puraisemaksi tai sulautua yhteen läppärisi kanssa. Löydä sisäinen mutanttisi tai kanavoi supervoimasi vastustajajoukkueeseen, sillä pelasit sitten hyviksissä tai pahiksissa, juuri sinun tarkoitusperäsi ovat oikeutetut. Mitä siitä jos muutama kortteli pistetään samalla matalaksi.

Kortteleita pistetään matalaksi myös myöhemmin illalla kun eeppistäkin suuremmat After Partyt alkavat ja hyvän ja pahan raja hämärtyy entisestäänkin.

Drum roll… The party you’ve been waiting for is getting closer and closer, so close that you can feel it’s hot moist breath on your neck. Your heart starts pounding and you feel your blood rushing in your veins, the adrenaline pumping you up with this weird combination of excitement and fear. You know you can’t just keep standing there or else… Suddenly, you feel a couple of cool droplets of condensation from a nice cold can of *beverage of your choice* drop on your cheek. You don’t even turn to look, you start running and running but you trip and fall! You see the humanlike figures of people in weird costumes slowly rolling towards you. You pull yourself up and hear music somewhere closeby, ”People! I’m saved!” you think to yourself and start rushing towards the sounds that are bouncing off the sides of the buildings. The echos disorient you but finally you find yourself at the source of that comforting bassline that kept you going. But you know that the chase isn’t over, you grasp the door handle with all your might, your arms bruised and body aching from earlier. You pull the door open and rush up the stairs into a crowded room. As the bass drops, you realize that you are in a party. The Party. The party that’s been coming for you all this time. You turn around but you’ve already been surrounded by people dancing, jumping, laughing, having fun! One of them greets you and asks you if you’re having fun. You try to gesture towards the door as if wanting to leave but suddenly you find a *beverage of your choice* in your hand. ”What a party, huh? It’s great that you made it here!” You nod politely but without you even noticing, the nod keeps on going with the rhythm of the music and suddenly you find yourself dancing in the middle of the room. You don’t quite remember how you got there, or how long you’ve been there, but who cares.
You are one with the party now.
